Director of Volunteer Services
Vincentian Collaborative System is recruiting a Director of Volunteer Services. The primary responsibility of this position is recruiting volunteers for Vincentian Collaborative System. This role involves working with our long-term care facilities and child care centers to assess our organization’s needs and to meet those needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers. Responsibilities also include developing partnerships with local parishes and community groups through outreach efforts and establishing strong working relationships with the public.
The Director of Volunteer Services will also ensure that all volunteers are properly trained and matched with the appropriate volunteer opportunities within our system. This position will maintain a volunteer database and keep track of volunteer activities.
Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience managing a volunteer program is required. Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred. An Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The applicant must have experience with public speaking and have exceptional presentation skills. Public relations experience in a non-profit environment preferred.
Willingness to work nights and weekends is required.
Applicants must have a valid Pennsylvania’s driver’s license.
