About the United Way of Westmoreland County

United Way of Westmoreland County is committed to improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities in Westmoreland, Fayette and parts of Armstrong County.  Our organization raises and invests funds to support our impact priorities:  Success in Learning and Life, Basic Needs and Financial Stability and Health Access and Independence. Over the years, the UWWC has evolved from the traditional role as “fund raiser for the community” to a proactive model of systems change. While the United Way continues to run workplace campaigns funding more than 45 nonprofit agencies, we also work with affinity groups and individual donors.  Our work also involves assessing and prioritizing the needs of the community and then assembling a plan that brings the leadership, knowledge, passion, organizations and resources together to effect change.  Last year, we raised approximately $4.1 million.

We are currently seeking a vice president of resource development to plan and lead our development team.  This is a senior staff level position requiring development expertise, leadership acumen and a desire and energy to improve the human services network in our community.  A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered.
