Job Description
The Marketer/Admissions Coordinator is responsible for meeting and exceeding the occupancy goals of Holy Family Manor. The Marketing /Admissions Coordinator promotes a positive image and represents the residence to healthcare professionals, community networking groups and business leaders to expand the residence’s referral base. In addition the Marketer/Admissions Coordinator takes inquiries, gives tours and coordinates all move in requirements. In the absence of the Administrator, or Nurse Manager, the Marketer/Admissions Coordinator serves as the Administrator Designee.
Reports To:
Administrator of HFM
Collaborates With:
Nurse Manager, Activities Coordinators, Care Aides, Med Techs and other CHFM partners.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates an understanding of and models the mission and values of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth through behavior and attitude.
- Communicates with Administrator on a daily basis regarding referrals, admissions and census.
- Maintains census requirements as defined by HFM budget.
- Generates leads and builds relationships through sales contacts with local healthcare professionals and community referral sources.
- Follows up on all referrals/inquiries.
- Invites community groups to hold meetings/events in the residence.
- Conducts, compiles and updates as necessary market competitive analysis including shopping the competition.
- Takes independent actions and looks for opportunities to build residence reputation and increase referrals.
- Screens all inquiry calls regarding PCH by potential residents, family or placement agencies.
- Conducts pre-admission assessments to determine appropriateness of potential resident.
- Schedules tours and meets with potential residents and their families to determine needs, gives tours, provides solutions, overcomes objections and closes sales to obtain deposit and move-in date. Explains all move-in forms, disclosure statements and agreements.
- Coordinates with maintenance the readiness of the resident room.
- Provides move-in and new resident information to appropriate team members.
- Summarizes new resident medical/social needs in written form and distributes to care staff prior to admission.
- Completes/or gathers all necessary admission paperwork in timely manner.
- Works within the approved HFM budget parameters.
- Coordinates brochure ordering/collateral materials through approved marketing sources.
- Works with Activities Coordinators to develop and implement activities designed to bring the community into the residence.
- Joins community networking groups as appropriate.
- Knows resident rights, maintains confidentiality of resident information and reports complaints to Administrator.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
Working Conditions:
Contact with blood or other body fluids may pose a risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious diseases.
Education / Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years outside sales experience in senior housing.
- LPN with minimum of two years nursing experience preferred.
- Associate degree in related field or four years of equivalent experience.
- Action/results oriented with strong customer service skills.
- Adaptable, teachable, and flexible in tasks and on site time.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other residence staff.
- Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills with emphasis on closing the sale.
- Extraordinary ability to interact and build relationships with older adults and their influencers.
- Ability to adhere to the personal care home principles, regulations and code of ethics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including formal presentation skills before both small/large groups, strong interpersonal, analytical, planning and organization abilities, self motivated with knowledge of business concepts and issues.
- Clear background check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Act 33/34 clearances required.
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law.
- Urine drug screening.
