Located 30 minutes north of Pittsburgh, Mars Home for Youth (MHY) has been evolving to meet the needs of at-risk youth and families for over 130 years.  Throughout this time, MHY has remained true to its dedication to support youth who deserve every opportunity at a better life.

Today, Mars Home for Youth (MHY) is committed to providing a sanctuary to help youth (ages 11-18) heal and cope with psychological and social traumatic experiences.  Through the implementation of the Sanctuary Model for Trauma Informed Care and our commitment to quality service delivery under CARF accreditation, MHY’s programming affords a safe and connected community for clients and staff to engage in programming that encourages healthy recovery, healing and growth.

Mars Home for Youth is currently seeking a long-term, part-time contract Psychiatrist to provide services to our residents in RTF and Group Home settings.  This individual will be responsible for providing evaluations, medication reviews, consultations and participation in weekly treatment team meetings.  Must be on site approximately 1 day per week, and afford minimal remote availability.  MD or DO in Pennsylvania is required.  Must be board certified in Psychiatry (Child/Adolescent.)  In accordance with DPW regulations, must have Act 33, 34 and FBI clearances and health statement.
