Through its Residential, Community-Based, and Alternative Education programming, MHY provides a safe and connected community for clients and staff to actively engage in treatment and programming that encourage recovery, healing, and growth for clients.
Mars Home for Youth is currently seeking an Admissions and Marketing Coordinator to foster and maintain stakeholder relationships and coordinate client intake.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with industry stakeholders, such as JPO, CYS, managed care referral sources, and families, and identifies appropriate referrals for admissions in MHY programming. Ensures that related referral documentation is administered efficiently and in compliance with standards and regulations. Must be able to work occasional flexible hours if necessary, and spends the majority of a workweek undertaking external outreach efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Coordinates admissions and related programming efforts including the compilation and distribution of programming information and admissions materials to county representatives, families, and potential or new residents.
- Schedule weekly visits with referring agencies and tracks outcomes associated of agency visits.
- Coordinates new admissions orientation materials and activities for children and their families, including the provision of new resident packets and campus tours.
- Completes forms for referral sources, Managed Care organizations, and other admission documentation that will expedite the admission of a resident, and ensures that all documentation is afforded to the appropriate agency or individual in a timely manner.
- Ensures that key staff are informed of the arrival of new residents, including the Clinical Services Coordinator, Residential Program Managers, Therapists and Longmore Principal. Provides all substantive information and documents to key staff that supports a new resident’s transition to the campus.
- Participates in quality improvement and evaluation processes as set forth by the Executive Director.
- Advocates on behalf of individual clients, their families, and the community in the provision of children and family services with respective funding bodies, organizations, foundations, local businesses and governments.
- Represents MHY and actively promotes its mission, strategic plan and its goals and objectives to children and their families, the general public, other organizations and government.
- Remains current on developments and trends in the child and family services sector, in addition to human service needs in throughout local counties.
- Represents MHY on external committees and organizations at the local, county, and state levels.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a related Bachelors degree is required in Social Services, Marketing or related areas; a graduate degree is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated admissions or related liaison experience supporting youth and family services is required. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and be able to work independently and in conjunction with the Director, Residential Program Managers, and operational teams. Must possess a valid PA driver’s license and vehicle, with an insurable driving record. Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances and First Aid/CPR certification is required. Must possess demonstrated PC skills including common MS Office applications. Additional training or licensing as required by regulations, or as deemed necessary by the Executive Director or Director.
