The Director of Development, reporting to the CEO and in consultation with the Board of Directors Development Committee, will develop and implement strategic fundraising and communication strategies.  This will include researching, identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding top donors on behalf of agency for annual and special campaigns.  The Director of Development will also actively promote planned giving, strengthening the endowment fund of agency. Must be willing to work flexible hours and travel throughout the region with occasional national travel requirements.

Qualifications Include:  At least a B.A. degree in related field; At least 5 years track record in successful fundraising with specific experience in major gifts; Familiarity with the nonprofit sector; Excellent written and oral skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Raiser's Edge.
