PROJECT COORDINATOR: Allegheny Open New Treatment Referrals, Care, and Knowledge initiative (Allegheny ONTRACK Initiative) (AOI)
Description of duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor and provide support for the development, implementation and evaluation of the AOI Project and all related project activities.
- Coordinate and document meetings with key project staff, the AOI Executive Team, the Advisory Board, and the Evaluation and Assessment Team, including representative members of the target population.
- With the direction from the HCH Director, provide leadership for the creation of an accessible, culturally competent, integrated system of primary care, AOD and mental health treatment services for homeless persons in Pittsburgh/Allegheny County
- Work closely with HCH Clinics, project partners, homeless provider agencies, and community stakeholders, within the scope of the AIO, to assess, implement and evaluate project activities.
- Provide clinical support as needed.
Qualifications for Position: RN preferred; MPH or other relevant health degree experience preferred
Supervisory Relationships: Reports to HCH Director; no staff supervision
Skills and Knowledge Required: Computer skills including Microsoft word, excel, publisher
Prior Experience Required:
- Substantial experience in program development
- 10-15 years of experience in working in the field of Community Health with an emphasis on special needs, vulnerable, underinsured and uninsured populations including knowledge of special homeless health problems.
- Previous experience in working in multi-cultural environments and organizations and with community based, non-profit organizations.
- Demonstrated experience with the development of new projects, implementation and evaluation competency and sensitivity to vulnerable populations.
Personal Qualities: Must have ability to develop and maintain positive rapport with a broad range of programs, staff, consumers, community stakeholders. Must be creative, enthusiastic, detail oriented.
Amount of travel and other special conditions /requirements: Must attend annual trainings (overnight required) and required annual SAMHSA meetings. Local travel required. Must have own transportation.
Hours per day/week: Monday-Friday 9-5:30, occasional evening hours
