PROJECT SEARCH JOB TRAINER - Part Time

Location:  UPMC Mercy
Education:  High School diploma
Experience:  2-5 years and experience working with youth and adults with disabilities preferred
Compensation:  $12.50/hour
Travel Required:  Yes
Summary:  The Job Trainer will provide onsite training and support for students, business co-workers, families, and school district personnel to ensure student success during worksite rotations and/or a competitive job placement. Duties include, but are not limited to, creating objectives, goals, and actions specific to the student's needs, developing student work skills and social interaction, and completing accurate paperwork to meet policies, procedures, and guidelines.  The qualified candidate must have the ability to represent the student as a valuable asset to the business while also being able to identify and facilitate the necessary supports for the student to be a successful intern and employee. This customer oriented candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.  Minimal local travel may be required.
