PROJECT SEARCH EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST

Location:  UPMC Mercy
Education:  Bachelors degree or higher in Human Services, Special Education, Counseling or related field
Experience:  2 - 5 years; experience working with youth and adults with disabilities preferred
Compensation:  $12.00-$14.00 based on experience
Travel Required:  Yes
Summary:  The Project SEARCH Employment Specialist works with the Project SEARCH student and all team members to locate competitive employment opportunities that match the individual's interests, abilities, strengths and skills.  This innovative candidate will explore jobs inside and outside the host business (UPMC Mercy) for students who are not employed at host site by end of school year.  Additionally, s/he works with Project SEARCH team to support student during competitive employment, which includes: job coaching, building natural supports, identifying modifications, accommodations, or assistive technology, etc.
